Helium Tank Rental Terms
Lost Helium tanks incur charge of $1000.00 each if not returned.
Lost or broken balloon regulators cost $99.00 for the basic latex model and $169.00 for the deluxe/Mylar.
Regulators are considered broken from obvious physical neglect, not just a malfunction.
There is never a credit for unused Helium or other purchased supplies.
Helium Tank Safety
Always secure tanks from falling. Although Helium is a non-flammable, inert gas, the tanks are under high pressure. Rupturing a tank may cause it to explode or to take off like a rocket. The tanks should remain upright during transport.
As noted above, the use and transport of Helium cylinders incurs a significant risk from the contents being under pressure, the weight of the tanks, and the potential harm from inhaling Helium.
Clients who choose to rent Helium tanks from Balloon Magic of Central Florida, assumes 100% of the risk of liability due to a tank malfunction, rupture, inhalation of Helium, falling tank, or other associated risks and injuries related to use of these tanks. Balloon Magic of Central Florida and its owner have complete indemnification from damages and liability should injury or damage occur associated with the use of our Helium tanks.
Never inhale Helium. Helium displaces Oxygen in your lungs and can make you pass out. Strong draughts of Helium can collapse or puncture a lung and in extreme cases cause death.
Additionally, balloon grade Helium is not purified like hospital gases are; so, you have no idea what other elements you may be inhaling. Likewise, balloons are coated with powder so they won’t stick. That is also something you don’t want in your lungs.
Balloons are not meant to be put into a child or adult’s mouth. Swallowing a balloon may cause suffocation.
If you or the people you are using the balloons with are allergic to latex, please consult with them to see if their allergy poses a risk to their health. Although Balloon Magic of CFL is by no means an expert about latex allergies, it seems that most reactions, for those who are allergic, come from sustained contact with rubber rather than from just being in a room with balloons.
